Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how OpsWisely ("OpsWisely", "we", "us", or "our"), a sole proprietorship based in India, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the website at opswisely.com and the OpsWisely workflow automation service (together, the "Service").
This policy applies to visitors to our website, individuals who sign up for updates, and customers who use the OpsWisely Service and the individuals whose information passes through that Service (for example, a customer's own contacts reached via WhatsApp or Instagram). It does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that we do not control, including Meta Platforms, Inc. and the WhatsApp Business Platform and Instagram APIs, which are governed by their own privacy terms.
2. Information Collected from Users
The categories of information described below reflect what we currently collect through our landing page and what we expect to collect once the Service is live. We will not know with certainty the full scope of collected information until the product is built and launched, and this section will be updated accordingly.
2.1 Account and Contact Information
If you contact us, sign up for early access, or create an account once the Service launches, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, billing details, and any other information you choose to provide to us.
2.2 WhatsApp and Instagram Business Account and Integration Data
OpsWisely is being built to let customers connect their own WhatsApp Business account and Instagram professional/business account to the Service using the WhatsApp Business Platform (WhatsApp Cloud API) and the Instagram API (via Meta's Graph API and Instagram messaging capabilities). When a customer sets up these connections, we expect to collect integration-related information such as WhatsApp Business Account identifiers, phone number identifiers, Instagram Business/Professional Account identifiers, Facebook Page identifiers associated with the Instagram account, API access tokens or credentials required to operate the integrations, granted permission scopes, and related account configuration details.
2.3 WhatsApp and Instagram Message Content and Delivery Information
Once connected, the Service is intended to send, receive, and manage WhatsApp messages and Instagram direct messages/comments on a customer's behalf as part of the workflows the customer configures. This may involve processing the WhatsApp phone numbers and Instagram user identifiers of the customer's own contacts, message content and attachments sent or received through those workflows, timestamps, and delivery and status information (for example, whether a message was sent, delivered, read, or failed).
2.4 Workflow Configuration and Automation Data
To provide the Service, we expect to store the workflows, automation rules, templates, triggers, and related configuration settings that a customer creates within OpsWisely, along with associated metadata (such as when a workflow was created, modified, or run).
2.5 Technical Logs and Diagnostic Information
We may collect technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and Service, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, timestamps, error logs, and API request/response logs. This information helps us maintain reliability and diagnose issues, including issues with message delivery or integrations.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing
We intend to use the information described above to: provide, operate, and maintain the Service; set up and support WhatsApp Business and Instagram integrations requested by a customer; execute the workflows and automations a customer configures; process subscription billing for monthly and yearly plans; communicate with customers and prospective customers about the Service; monitor, secure, and improve the Service; and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including obligations imposed by Meta Platforms, Inc. under the WhatsApp Business Platform and Instagram API terms.
Where applicable data protection laws require a legal basis for processing (for example, for users in jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), we intend to rely on bases such as performance of a contract with the customer, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where it is required (for example, for certain marketing communications or optional cookies).
4. How Information May Be Shared with Service Providers
We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. We do not currently have a confirmed practice of sharing personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes, and it is not our intention to do so; however, we are not yet in a position to make an absolute, binding guarantee about all future data-sharing practices, since the Service has not launched and our vendor relationships are not yet finalized. As the product develops, we will describe our actual practices here accurately, including whether any sharing of information could be considered a "sale" or "share" under applicable law, and we will provide any choices required by law.
We expect to share information with service providers who help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting providers, infrastructure and database providers, customer support tools, payment and subscription billing processors, and, where used, website analytics providers. These providers would be authorized to process information only as needed to perform services on our behalf, and not for their own independent purposes.
We may also disclose information where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OpsWisely, our customers, or others.
5. Meta Platform Integrations (WhatsApp and Instagram)
Integrations with the WhatsApp Business Platform and the Instagram API are core planned features of OpsWisely. When a customer connects their WhatsApp Business account and/or Instagram professional account, information relating to that account and the messages, comments, or other interactions sent or received through it will necessarily be processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. and/or its affiliates as the provider of those platforms, in addition to being processed by OpsWisely. Meta's own privacy policy, Platform Terms, Developer Policies, WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, and Instagram API terms govern Meta's handling of that information, and we encourage customers and their contacts to review those terms separately.
We intend to access, use, and process data obtained through Meta's platforms only as needed to provide the features a customer has authorized within OpsWisely (such as sending notifications, replying to messages or comments, or running message-based workflows), to maintain the security and reliability of the Service, and to meet applicable legal and platform-compliance requirements, including requirements imposed by Meta on businesses using the WhatsApp Business Platform and the Instagram API. In line with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies, we do not intend to use data obtained from WhatsApp or Instagram to sell, license, or transfer it to third parties, to build or augment user profiles for purposes outside the authorized Service functionality, or to use it for advertising purposes, except where a customer has separately and lawfully authorized such use or where otherwise permitted by Meta's policies and applicable law.
A customer's use of the WhatsApp and Instagram integrations remains subject to that customer's own agreement with Meta, and a customer is responsible for having the necessary rights, consents, and opt-ins from their own contacts before using OpsWisely to message them through these platforms.
6. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
We intend to retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain a customer's account, comply with legal and regulatory obligations (including any record-keeping obligations related to messaging or billing), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods for different categories of data (such as message logs versus workflow configurations) have not yet been finalized, since the Service has not launched; they will be documented here once determined.
Where a customer closes their account or disconnects their WhatsApp Business or Instagram integration, we intend to delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes (for example, billing records).
7. Security Measures
We intend to take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss, appropriate to the nature of the information involved, including access controls and secure handling of integration credentials. We have not yet obtained, and do not claim to hold, any specific third-party security certification, nor do we claim to use any specific encryption standard or security technology, unless and until such measures have been implemented and verified. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. User Rights and Privacy Requests
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you are a contact of one of our customers and you receive messages through a workflow run on OpsWisely, requests relating to the content of those communications should generally be directed to the business (our customer) you have been communicating with, as they control what workflows are run; we will support our customers in responding to such requests as required by law.
To submit a privacy request or ask a question about this policy, contact us at opswisely@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
9. International Data Transfers
OpsWisely is operated from India. If we or our service providers (including infrastructure or platform providers such as Meta) process or store information in countries other than your own, your information may be transferred to, and processed in, jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we intend to put in place appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our landing page may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality and, if enabled, to understand how visitors use the site. We do not currently claim to use any specific analytics provider unless and until one has been implemented, at which point this section will be updated to name the tool and describe the data it collects. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at opswisely@gmail.com so we can take appropriate action.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as OpsWisely moves from development to launch and our actual data practices are confirmed. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and, where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify customers.
